The initiative envisions a future in which the families and communities of the greater
Barrington and Lake Zurich areas support healthy child development through
nature-based activities and play.
The initiative aims to get children outside in nature-based activities and play,
by fostering family and community awareness and support.

participants of KidFest, a special thank you to Barrington High
School(BHS) and BHS students Peter Chung, Chris Tessarolo, and Daniel

Healthier Barrington (of which LNCI is a member) helped develop 211, an information service provided by PATH, funded by United Way, and partnered with Good Shepherd Hospital. It will serve the 60010 zip code and the Barrington 220 School District and is geared to alleviate the saturation of 911 calls that are non-emergency related. 211, a 24/7 service, will receive the call, PATH will screen the call for the correct entity to service. WELCOME NEW LNCI SUPPORTOR SaveDaWorld
An environmentally concious, non-profit of five high school students working towards saving the environment by providing information as to how you as an individual have the power to impact the world in a greater, more simpler way.

Was held on May 2nd from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM at Citizens Park in Barrington and sponsored by the Barrington Breakfast Rotary, Barrington Park District and Leave No Child Inside.
The weather was perfect with sunny skies and a nice breeze to lift the kites into the air. A new attendance record was achieved with nearly 2,200 enjoying the free activities.

A special thank you to Sean Doran, Eagle Scout candidate, along with his volunteers, for making over seventy bluebird house kits for child to make, learn about bluebirds, and to take the bird houses home thereby providing new homes for the birds. In addition, thank you to all the volunteers who donated their time to make this event possible and to the participating organizations for their time, knowledge, and raffle prizes.
