Butterflies at Barrington Library

The winged beauties of Illinois have returned and are in the process of laying eggs, hatching into caterpillars, and metamorphosing into colorful butterflies. To coordinate with June designated as Leave No Child Inside month, please visit the Barrington Area Library to see the three large display windows that showcase our local butterflies that can be seen at Vehe Farm's Betty McLaughlin Memorial Butterfly Garden.

Pamphlets listing butterfly friendly plants, the layout of the garden, and a description of the Vehe Farm Foundation's volunteer efforts, are available at the community section of the library. The garden, prairie, and wetland areas of Vehe Farm are open to the public year round.
