The Great Backyard Bird Count

When: Saturday, February 13
Time: Begins Promptly at Noon to 2:00 p.m.
Where: Vehe Farm in Deer Park
23570 W. Cuba Road
Between Ela Road and Route 12

This event takes place sun or snow! Bring your binoculars and dress for the weather. We will be outside to count the birds. Meet in the barn to learn about the bird count and to receive your bird count data forms. Warm up afterwards while watching an educational bird video and sip some free hot chocolate. How many birds will we see at Vehe Farm this year? Prairie Woods Audubon Society and volunteers will be on hand to identify the different bird species. This free event is open to all ages of children along with their caregivers. Craft project, door prizes, and educational handouts will be available.
