KidFest supported by LNCI Pat Winkelman
KidFest is actually two events – The Barrington Area Kite Fly and the Family Nature Fest. Outdoor educational activities for all ages are hosted by several organizations at this day long event. Children can learn about nature while having fun with activities such as constructing bird houses, tree-climbing, exploring insect and animal habitats and creating nature note cards. Additional activities include archery, slack-lining and bike safety lessons.
Enjoy a wide variety of fun, free outdoor activities at the 5th Annual Barrington Area KidFest event. KidFest is hosted by the Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club, Leave No Child Inside adn the Barrington Park District. The event takes place in beautiful Citizens Park on Saturday May 6th from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The rain date is Sunday May 7th.
Please join us for a great FREE family event. Get outside and enjoy flying a kite with your children, construct a bird house, run a relay or climb a tree. These are just some of the fun activities you can do outside this year at KidFest. Our mission is to inspire healthy habits, introduce nature activities and opportunities in the area, and to encourage families to engage in outdoor activities together, such as fly a kite or go for a hike. This event is fabulous for all ages and parking is limited, so ride your bicycle to Citizens Park!
