The LNCI Consortium initiative has been selected as a University of Illinois, College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs, Department of Public Administration “Capstone Project”. This is a real honor!

Four UIC Master in Public Administration students will work with the Consortium during the January through May time period. Their project will be to assess whether there is a community need for the Consortium to exist beyond May 2010 and, if so, to suggest potential organizational structures the Consortium might consider in order to meet that need.

The students will do face-to-face interviews of Consortium members and other community leaders. In early May, they will present to the Consortium a final written and oral report.

We are truly excited about this project. Through the Capstone graduate students, we will be able to get an objective assessment of how we have done over the past two years and whether the community sees a continuing need for our initiative.
